Captain Michael Walker started fishing at a young age and continues to enjoy the sport of fishing to this day. His main goal is to share his fishing experience with fellow anglers that make the journey to Islamorada, FL and to put them on quality fish. Michael doesn't see fishing as a job, but more of a passion that he continues to follow to this day. After serving four honorable years and sailing around the Pacific and Indian Oceans in the U.S. Navy, he was hired as a deckhand on a deep-sea fishing party/head boat named "The Kingfisher". Captain Walker later moved over to a private charter and sportfishing boats then eventually obtained his Captain's license (100-ton Master). He's fished all over the Gulf of Mexico from Tampico, Mexico to Venice, Louisiana as well as Hawaii, the Pacific coast of Mexico and Costa Rica. The captain has also fished in several tournaments including the prestigious invitational, Poco Bueno out of Port O'Connor, TIFT and the LKT in South Padre and a few more fishing tournaments up the coast.

SaltWalker Charter I am telling you this is a AAA+++ Outfit!! This was the BEST Deep Sea fishing trip ever!!! Captain Walker was spot on with every detail and I mean EVERY Detail!! His 2 crew hands where top notch!! I never seen so much hustle, Those 2 deck deck hands never stopped, They where setting the poles, Huge help getting the hooks set, keeping the bait ready, And Always had the Captain's boat cleaned after every catch!! P.S Art, Teresa, Rhonda, and Guy, Thank you so much for the BEST Deep Sea fishing trip Captain Walker!!!

We went out on a 4 hour trip with Captain Brian and First Mate Chris. They were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable young men. They knew exactly where the fish were and we were reeling them in within minutes after we anchored. We were first time fisher and Brian and Chris were very patient teachers. They even recommended local restaurants that would cook what we caught. Overall, we had a very special day as a family that we will remember and talk about for years. I would highly recommend fishing with them.

We had Captain Tyler, Captain Brian and Deck Hand Chris and all were very great helpful and made it comfortable and fun. We had a very enjoyable time. They made sure to get us right to some fish and got us to trying different types to try and catch. It was our first time doing a charter and was a lot of fun even watching them get things setup and find fish. Would definitely use them again.

Brian and his crew were fantastic and really provided a fantastic day on the water. Caught a great variety of fish. I have done a lot of fishing and this is one of the best crews I have ever fished with. Hands down a great group. Their boat is a bit dated so if you are looking for state of the art this boat might not be for you but is you’re looking to catch fish then these are the guys!

The Saltwaker was a great experience! The captain and crew were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They asked us what we were fishing for before we started and made sure that we accomplished our goals. They were great company and made us feel right at home in the keys. The Saltwalker boat was very comfortable and very smooth in the open water. We will be booking another trip with them again soon!
